The last few days have been wild with all the *lovely snow* that we don't typically get here in the pacific northwest; causing disruptions of routines and services which is somehow disorientating. It took three days for the snow plows to get out here and clear the roads, but we are slowly moving again. Thank You to those who stopped by with friendly comments! I may not always have time to respond, but I do read them and take them to heart. What a strange year it's been. I hope and pray 2022 will be better. Can things get worse? Never mind.
My family surprised me with a new camera for Christmas! It's a slim Canon Power Shot ELPH 360 and I love it! It's replacing my Kodak EasyShare Z885, that I've been using mostly for this blog since 2007. (I know! Where does the time go?) I'm actually kind of shocked that it's lasted this long. The new camera is a major improvement with lots of features that I'm embracing with glee. Especially nice for capturing the fine details in my miniature macro world. Anyway, I hope everyone had a nice holiday season, however it was celebrated. We are all doing fine in this neck of the woods. The Dainty House bakery oven has been working overtime this month and we've all got some new projects in mind. But first, I need to spruce-up the workshop and reorganize a bit. A fresh start for the New Year!
What a beautiful scene! My goodness. Such a perfect touch for the holidays to have all that beautiful snow. Worth the inconvenience, I hope. Congrats on your new camera. Hope it gives you many years of pleasure. Take care, Vicki! 🎄🦌⛄🔥

Snow, snow, snow! When I lived on Whidbey Island, there came a fierce snow and we were unable to drive up the hill to leave our four-house "neighborhood." I walked and walked in hte woods. It was like a fairyland! It certainly looked fantastic, and in the snow, we found footprints and tree-markings by a mountain lion!
