So this is what happens when the deer aren't nibbling away at the garden! We fenced those critters out for good at the beginning of the year and reclaimed our space and it's been a glorious summer of flowery goodness.
These are ordinary shrub roses that decided to grow back from a small root remnant that was left in the ground after they were dug out and transplanted to another home seven years ago. I guess we're going to have to find the hedge trimmers now. Oh the irony.
Back at the workshop, trimming on a much smaller scale. More fodder for my in progress miniature sewing room.
I must say, my little sewing room-box is coming together rather nicely. I've made just about everything in it with a few exceptions. For instance I purchased that little ironing board recently because it would've taken me ages to figure out how to make one that folds up like this. How cute is that?
MeadowSweet shop update;, I have a few more yarn shop bags with teensy yarn skeins, random fabric bolts, rugs and runners, wall art, wooden fat quarter display boxes, and seasonal decor for 12th scale dollhouse and room box dioramas. I'll be adding a few cork bulletin boards (like this one above) and new "fabric stash" cupboards very soon. Plus mini shoeboxes of sewing patterns and other odds and ends.
Now that I've told you, I'd better run along and get it all done.
The flowers look beautiful! Glad the deer can't get them.🦌
Your mini sewing room looks smashing! I bet it's very satisfying doing things in miniature.
Take care, my dear!
