Our wild rose bush/tree is really putting on a show this year!
The peony buds are popping too and filling the house with their lovely scent.
Indoors, only one of my African Violets bloomed this time; the cyclamen barely survived the winter. Poor thing looks pitiful. Starting more seedlings again to transplant into the outdoor garden soon.
Which is coming along nicely. Mostly colorful flowers right now with peas, cucumbers, tomatoes and strawberries gaining speed. It's been a warmer than usual spring. Some things do great, others bolt too soon. There are always surprises in a garden. The birds we fed all winter are still hatching chicks and eating most of the bugs.
This is a new addition this year and I love it! With the yard completely fenced now, we are expanding a bit outside the garden enclosure with no more worries about deer, but still need to be mindful of rabbits. So we have two of these waist-high garden boxes--planted with a variety of wonderful leafy greens. A live salad bar!
And alas...roses too!
