We were having breakfast and relishing the glorious warm morning sunshine, so rare this time of year, and watching the wildlife come and go, when the peonies started waving. I may have even heard singing. That one precious pristine corner of the garden put on quite a show. I hurried over and nearly cried for joy.
I really can't remember lovelier weather in May here in the pacific northwest. Normally, late spring is a mixed bag with an ever-changing sky from dismal and cloudy, to mildly misty with blinding bursts of sunshine often followed by dramatic drenching downpours--leaving any fresh blooms (the peonies in particular), sprawling all over the ground. So this was a pleasant surprise.
My cup runneth over.
Nice pictures. We are having a very crappy Spring in Northern Indiana. Cold right up to the day it hit 90 and humid...and rain...for the last two weeks. My peony are growing, but no blooming yet.

Believe me Carol, I know what "crappy springs" are. LOL That's the norm for here, usually. We live on the edge of a vast rain forest. Any lasting sunshine for this time of year is just a fluke. :o)
Anyway, what is a No Reply Blogger? Never heard of that. Or that I was one! Heavens. How do I change this?
