Hello everyone and Happy Summer!
It's been way too long since I checked in here; high time for some neighborly chit-chat over the fence.
Is summer busy for you? Summer always seems to be the very busiest of seasons for our family. What with all the fairs and festivals, an out-of-state family reunion in Nevada, a marriage reception for a nephew in Washington, a trip to my brother's in California, birthdays, horse shows, visiting the Oregon coast, and my annual jam and pickle making tradition, not to mention the needs of The Garden . . . it's no wonder we are buzzing around like bees.
Our oldest granddaughter turned 12 years-old yesterday; this is another milestone that is hard to wrap my mind around. It seems like only yesterday I was bouncing her on my knee and sewing sweet little aprons for her and her sister. Time just keeps marches on and so do we. And though me hairs grow gray--I'm a proud granny.
And speaking of time marching on . . . the Mister and I are happily celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary! (Actually, we met ten years prior to getting hitched, with a history of "crossing paths" before that, so I am sure it was Providence). Needless to say, we count each other our BFF.
With all the coming and going, I don't have too much in the way of crafty sewing to share just now. I have barely been keeping up with the new transfer patterns that are waiting patiently here in shoeboxes. I try and add a few "new" reprints to the PatternBee website each month along with the Bonus patterns. I've been able to do it for over ten years now and wonder how long I can keep doing it. I never knew there were so many embroidery patterns when I started this little venture: as a hobby.
In the meantime, there are some new projects waiting in the wings. These combine my love of paper and glue and needle and thread. And with that, I must leave you guessing for now.
Thanks for stopping by--I do so miss you all!
The years have really slipped by haven't they. I can't believe it really. Even though my own daughter is grown it still seems shocking that the kids I've watched as toddlers on blogs are grown! I don't even know where the time goes. So many people I feel like I 'know' even though I just have followed along with their lives online. Happy days!

It's always a happy day when I find you've updated your blog! My granddaughter turns twelve this year too. Time does indeed march on. Can't wait to see the new projects!

It's so good to see you back. I am happy to read that you had such a good (and busy) Summer.
A couple of weeks ago I met a woman at JoAnne Fabrics. We were in the embroidery isle. I was getting thread, and she was looking at transfers. It looked like she was getting a little flustered. She couldn't find what she was looking for, which was iron on transfers for a quilt. Well Vicki, boy did that start the conversation! I told her all about Turkey Feathers and Pattern Bee. I told her how lovely your State Flour Quilt is, and sooooo much more. I hope she visits you and becomes another one of your many admirers.
As it is September, I will take this time to wish you an early Happy Birthday. I hope it will be a lovely one.

Oh how they have! It IS hard to believe. This online community is like a family in a lot of ways, I think. We have all grown older together and have been able to share so much through this amazing technology. My two youngest daughters have grown up now and moved on to other things, but that creative time we spent making and doing and sharing here amongst friends is priceless.

Thanks Jane! It's wonderful to hear from you and to know that all is well in your neck of the woods!

Hi Velma! Yes, I am easing back in slowly. I just don't seem to have the time lately to keep the blog updated regularly. Hopefully, it is just a passing phase, and once refreshed, I will get back on the ball again.
Thank you for remembering my birthday! And also for sharing my website and blog with a fellow stitcher. This humble hobby biz of mine has been growing by word of mouth since the beginning--the very BEST way! I am truly grateful for that. Thanks for sticking around sweetie!
