We have a birthday coming up too! My son's, who was born on Thanksgiving four years ago. He has requested a chocolate, "Wind in the Willows" cake. We'll see what mama can come up with...
I so enjoy your beautiful blog. My forte is sewing clothes, but I can live vicariously through your quilting and embroidery. I have been working on a simple, square patch twin-sized quilt for my son, cut from his daddy's old button-down shirts and various other scraps. I'm starting small and simple. :-)

I want to take this time to tell you and your family that I wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

Happy Birthday to your son! I've always loved the "Winds in the Willows" storybook characters and what a whimsical idea for a cake! The quilt sounds great; good use for dad's old shirts and sentimental at the same time. Nothing wrong with starting small--baby steps. :o)

Oh Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours too sweetie! May it be a wonderful feast of fun!

Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours!

Tommorow will have been both my mother-in-law's and my step-brother's birthdays. I'll be missing them both, very much, but with happy memories. Happy Birthday to your loved one, and a very Happy Thanksgiving to you and to your family Vicki. Every day is an opportunity to create a happy memory, but birthdays and Thanksgiving surely do remind us to love one another.
