Yep. It's that time again. The long-awaited strawberries are ripe! Berry season is short, so no time to dawdle. This is the second batch we picked. The first batch never seems to make it into the jam pot.
I'm off to find some Marionberries now...

You are so right about you can't waste time when it's berry season. Our favorite jam is raspberry freezer jam, but I haven't seen any raspberries at the fruit stand yet. But when they hit, we're on it! Your jam looks yummy!

You are so right. Short season and there's never quite enough. Are you picking for jams this time?

I was toying with the idea of making strawberry freezer jam. I'd love to learn how to can...just a bit intimidated :o

I'm afraid that berry season might pass us by this year. I am glad you are savoring and saving some of it! Now I need to look up marionberries.
