We were at the coast over the weekend--just meandering down the road, when my eyes spied these gorgeous blue anenomies. No camera in my pocket either, so my brother-in-law took the photo on his i-phone. Amazing! I could just stare at them all day long. And now I can. And so can you! Thank you, Drew.
I'll be back with the next flower quilt block soon. I'm still unpacking and waiting for my 'research assistant' to wrangle up the bio for the Wyoming Indian Paintbrush--these things can't be rushed. So...in the meantime I'll just shower you with poppies (and other pretties).
Wow! Are those ever beautiful. I've been looking for some blue colored flowers to plant in a garden whose color scheme comes from a piece of chintz. So far the only flower I have come up with is forget-me-nots.

What a deeply saturated shade of blue. So unusual and so pretty.
