A chocolate cake is such a nice treat! Merry Birthday! ~Mandy

Before the picture loaded I was thinking, "oh but really, how interesting can knitted slippers be." But those are SO CUTE. I think the color combination is part of it, I love that minty green with red and pink. But with the pom-poms! Oh! I want them.

Happy Birthday! My grandma used to knit me slippers but nothing as fancy as your photo...I learned how years ago but haven't done any since. They really are some seriously cute slippers.

Happy Belated Birthday! My great grandma made the same slippers, I discovered this pattern and made them for the whole family last year: http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/maggieslippers.html

Happy Birthday! It was a good weekend for birthdays...mine was yesterday and I share it with my Father. I wish you all the best for the coming year!

Happy birthday dear Vicki! May your birthday wishes come true!

Glad you had such a wonderful birthday Vicki:-) Many, many more!

I forgot to mention, I know your a Tasha Tudor admirer, I attended her memorial service and blogged about it if you care to take a look. I posted a clip from the last video the Japanese did of her and her gardens a couple of years ago.

Well, a happy birthday to you!

I went on the slipper hunt this weekend and found this at my local fabric store . . . http://www.kwiksew.com/Catalog/cat_detail.cfm?pid=3323&QL=CraftsHatsMittensSocks
I plan on trying this sometime this week. Good luck on your slipper quest!

Happy belated Birthday! I am so glag that you were given the "royal treatment", which I know was well deserved. I have always thought that there is nothing like new slippers for your feet to make you feel warm and toasty. I look forward to your sewing and shareing. Can't wait!.... Most of all take the time you need for you.

Beautiful colour combination. Just so sad that things this cute don't look so good in grown-up sizes (or on grown-up feet come to that!)

happy, happy belated birthday!

Happy Birthday!

My grandma always made us kids slippers (with pom poms) and mittens every year for Christmas. Oh the memories you've stirred.
Love yours!

Happy Birthday!

Here's another link for knit pom pom slippers!

Yep, each night this week, I've had cold, cold feet and felt like getting out my corn baggy to warm up in the microwave! Happy Birthday!
