Still going with the mini-quilts over here. My theme lately seems to be chicks. Not planned, just something I noticed when I grabbed these three to show this morning. Must be the influence of spring and all the birdsong in the air. I've been getting emails asking, how I do the binding. There are different ways, but I like these mitered corners. I don't think I could explain it better than what Heather Bailey has already put together here. It's an excellent tutorial in PDF form that can be printed out so you can take it to your machine and go step-by-step if you need to. And also this video demo for joining the binding ends neatly, is very good. Have a fun, crafty weekend!
That's what I'm planning on doing anyway.
Your little quilts are adorable. I am saving all my squares from my tote bags now. I'm afraid once I start making them that is all I will do. LOL

Mmm - there is something about that picture of your sewing room that reminds me of my grandma's, growing up as a child. It reminds me of the smell of fabric and hot machines, that hum, and warm light of an extra lamp on a grey day... Just lovely.
I got Grace's little cake slices by the way and was WoWed beyond belief! Thank you. Thank you. They will be cherished for sure.

Thanks for the great tutorial info! It is very good. I don't quilt a lot (note to self: do more quilting...), but when I do I can see my binding technique needs work. So loving your mini quilts. With each post I'm even more amazed what you create! And the little cakes--real & dollhouse variety last post were scrumptious! Happy Days! :o)
