Oh my...the mini quilt love is all around me. Thank you BLOG PALS for spreading the news and sharing the love. Like the spring flowers, little quilts seem to be popping up all over. I'm having such a good time making these. Right now, I'm just doing squares and rectangles, in a strip-piecing sort of way, using my scraps of vintage fabrics in a combination with new ones. (My tiny blocks are about an inch square.)
I'm loving all the bright colors and and patterns. They remind me of childhood, summer, and picnics in the grass. Some have asked about the embroidery motifs I've used. The redwork designs are something I did-- not vintage. "Miss Market Piggy", however, is part of a very old pattern, dating back to the 1920's and is also available as an iron-on transfer here. It's one of my favorites.

Hi there - I love your tiny quilts. I've never worked with such small pieces (1 inch phew!) Perhaps I'll pluck up courage and have a go. Thanks for sharing. Mary

Oh I absolutely love the little piglet one!!! How wonderful to go so small. You know they say to get a new perspective on your work, go very small for awhile, then large again and see what develops. I love them. dd

Your designs are so wonderful! I've been working on some myself that use embroidery and piecework. Seeing yours are quite inspirational.
