I appreciate all the hedge-hog love! Prickles and I are getting on very well. After my last post, the wine maker's wife asked what quilt block I was making, and well, it's turns out it's not a quilt, but a "tissue cozy". I've been deep in decorating mode around here. In fact, nothing is safe from my sudden desire to cover everything up. Maybe it's the serious chill outside, but I can't seem to stop. I've made several of these tissue covers for different rooms already and may make more, especially now that I have mastered this darling fabric flower here. I love these! The pattern came from my sweet friend Blair, who so generously shared this fabric flower tutorial, that has apparently reached far and wide and come back around to me again since I missed it the first time. (Where was I? Must've been on vacation or unconscious or something, because I'm obviously the last to know.) Anyway, I'm on the prowl for things to make just so I can pin these little beauties onto something and so spun-up about the new flickr pool of fabric flowers which will undoubtedly inspire me along the way.
Looks like February is going to be a fun, flowery month after all.
Oh my gosh I love this!!! its so bright and cheery and the flower on it just finishes it

I love the tissue box cozy. I never seem to find a box print I like and always hide the boxes around my house. The flower was just the right touch. I love your blog. :)

The tissue box cover is so pretty and the fabric flower adds just the right note of "cuteness" to enhance the overall effect. How lovely!

Your tissue cover turned out sweet. Perfect for the first day of this month of pink and frilly things.
Our mornings have been frosty too, but oh how beautiful the afternoons! I've really needed the light and have been going for long walks to take advantage of it.
So funny...just last night I looked at the box of tissues on my bedside table and thought that I really should look for something pretty to cover it with. I was thinking wicker, but your sewing has made me think that maybe I can come up with something else. Thanks once again Vicki, for the inspiration!

I had to make that flower, yours is just so adorable. I haven't got any tissue boxes, surrounded by males so we use toilet roll. I am going to buy some tissues tomorrow just so I can make a cover and have this lovely flower on it. So girly. I need more of this in my life.
Once again your blog has cheered my day. You never fail to post something beautiful.

Oh, that is SO cute! The flower really makes it bloom :)
Thank you for the link to the tutorial - though I'm not as crafty with a needle as I wish I were, those look like something I might even be able to make! What a clever idea.

Hi,
I love reading your blog and all the things you make are so lovely. Ellanora, the elephant doll has sent me on a search for elephant doll patterns. Which pattern did you use for her and could you tell me where to purchase it? Thank you, Lee
