Can't believe it's Friday already--the week zipped by. I also can't believe I actually finished stitching up the last of the state flower quilt blocks! Whew! All fifty of 'em. However, I'm only up to #31 here on the blog, so next week I am going to post one new flower block each day to step things up. Hopefully--my "research assistant" will be on board with that. My word, we do keep ourselves busy around here, do we not? In the meantime, I'm working out some quilt-top layout options for different orientations and sizes. (I'll offer them as a free PDF in the coming weeks.)
Before I head out for the weekend--to a promising-looking sunny one for a change, with so-far "true blue" skies overhead--I'll leave you with some exciting and inspiring places I've been visiting on the web recently, just in case you find yourself weather-bound with time on your hands:
- Fun photoshop & photography blog: Kim Klassen Cafe offers tons of creative effects, tutorials, and e-courses to achieve amazing results with your photos. Gallery of images here. Very inspiring!
- Another site with hundreds of free digital clip-art, tutorials, projects and techniques: The Graphics Fairy.
- Saltbox Treasures Etsy shop--when you feel like thrift-shopping in your slippers. And check out Julie's charming companion blog for more inspiration.
- Gorgeous knitting and crochet eye candy from Knot Garden, and a Forget-Me-Knot tutorial--so sweet!
- Free Felt Patterns gathered from around the web (with permission) and organized into one nifty spot. Love it!
And this made me laugh today! (From another sunshine-deprived Oregonian at Vintage Trifles.)
Have a great weekend everybody!
