Aren't these cute? Ginger has been creating various critters all week. It started with a few drawings she was doing, and the next thing I knew she was sitting at her craft table quietly and meticulously cutting, stitching, and gluing. She made these from bits of felt and some cotton-batting scraps that she found in the trash can. I guess the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, eh? What do your kids like to do on a rainy day?
Incredibly and wonderfully crafted finger puppets! My kids and I made them a bazillion years ago so I appreciate the difficulty of doing them well------- I'm applauding!!!

Adorable!
I have a box that I put various small toys in - little kaleidoscopes, buttons in a tin, small cars, even McDonald's toys. It is called the rainy day box and my little boy loves to delve into it at the first sprinkle of rain or bad weather.

aww they are so sweet. Your daughter is very clever, especially designing them as well!
At the minute my daughter is painting and drawing lots and lots of fairy's. She doesn't seem to have the patience for sewing but she loves to draw and paint. My son plays his guitar constantly in his spare time rain or sun.

I have 2 teenaged boys---on rainy days they can't wait to get outside to ride in the mud. Ugghhhh!

Oh, gosh! Those are adorable! When my children were small they would sit and create for hours. Now, they are boring adults who have forgotten how much fun it is to take a pile os stuff and make it into something new.
Clearly they do not take after their mother.

So adorable! My 3-year old keeps asking me to show her the "puppet page." I think I know what the Easter Bunny should bring her this year!

Her finger puppets are so adorable! What a lovely thing to do on a rainy afternoon. My children are grown, but when they were small we would try different craft projects together; things like collage placemats, paper chains, etc.

I remember my sister and I used to get inspired watching the "Tasha Tudor" videos, or reading the books about her life... we would make tiny little doll's clothing, and we even made a clothing catalogue so that each pre-made dress was worth so many buttons. For more info about Tasha Tudor, check out this link:

Like mother, like daughter - crafty and creative!
Love the view of the 'clothes line' in the background, too.
Making 'fairy furniture' or little 'Borrower' belongings (ala' the 'Borrower's" books) from found items around the house, was always a big hit on rainy days here. But looks like you've got plenty of inspiration going on there already!
