Going Cuckoo
We're still operating on daylight savings time around here. Seriously, not one clock has been turned back and we haven't turned into pumpkins or anything yet. It's been kind of a joke around the house. Honestly, everything seems to have a clock on it these days. When I was growing up, we had like one kitchen clock that hung on the wall, and a wind-up alarm clock next to the bed. Digital clocks seem to be built into everything now. Fine, but I can never remember what buttons to push on any of them. Such a silly waste of time. Someone please explain the point of all this again. I need convincing. Or maybe one of these. (play the video to hear the cuckoo).

I have always wanted a cuckoo clock! Maybe I'll get one for Christmas...Now where should I put it...hmmmmm
God bless.

We had a cuckoo clock when I was a little girl, though eventually it stopped working (and I think my mother was secretly relieved :)
We don't have all of our clocks reset yet, either - though thankfully, if we err through it on this time change, we'll only be early!

You need to move to Arizona. We never go on daylight savings, so we never have to remember to go off of it!
We just have to try and remember which of our children we are now on the same time as and which ones are now earlier. It gets very confusing.
My best friend from childhood had a cuckoo clock. Wonderful memories.

We don't change to daylight savings time in Saskatchewan, either. We're the only Canadian province that doesn't, and we're made to feel a little archaic for it. Behind the times, if you will. ;)
And thoses cuckoo clocks are all great! I *will* have one for my studio.

Hi We change our clocks during the last weekend in October here in Britain so now its very dark very early. I don't think I know anyone who really understands or agrees with it we just do it because we are told to, dreadful really, so I admire your spirit in not changing but hope you don't get too muddled!

Cute cuckoo clock. We had one when I was growing up too. As for daylight savings, I rushed home yesterday thinking it was 3pm and time for the school bus. Well it was only 2 and I couldn't understand why the bus was so late...

I dream of owning a Cuckoo

I bought a cuckoo clock two months ago on our holiday to Germany. It is wonderful...needs the weights pulled up once a day, but the cheery little cuckoo earns his keep! And, I made sure to get one that turns **off** at night...cuckoos cease to be cute at midnight!
Cheers,
Anna Marie
