Like a Kid in a Candy Shop

Well, I'm back with good news...our amazing Miss Grace is all moved into her new space and Dollhouse Sweets & Petite Treats  is back open for business.   I think she's done a terrific job crafting up some darling little goodies again, so go take a peek if you're in the neighborhood.

The treat-charms make especially sweet gifts.  She's also taking special orders from her online catalog here, the sight of which may send you into a sugar-coma or running for the nearest real sweet shop.   I was drooling myself when I put it together and was surprised by how many things she's made over the past year or so.  Shown there are the things that have already been sold.  She doesn't stock an inventory, but if you see something you like, she's happy to make something similar for you.  (Please keep in mind that since each little item is handmade individually, there may be some slight variations and a lead time. )

Back home...our own "le Petite Patisserie" got a sprucing up with a new bakery case.    It's wood with plexiglass windows, and the doors slide open in the back just like real ones.  So dang cute!  Bought it here.   (Same site I found the little Sailor doll above.)

New table and chairs found here.  Soon it will be time to put up the miniature Christmas tree and decorations again.  Oh the dolls can hardly wait!

More eye candy from the bakery shop window.

We've also been spending some time crafting together, and recently Grace made some of her amazing teeny-tiny paper roses.  They look almost real because she tints them with watercolors.  I decided to make a vase for them to dress up our table and it turned out so adorable that we made a few more to sell in the shop.  Can you believe this is just an inch tall?  It comes in pink too.

Although I'm partial to the blue one in this setting.

Incredible detail! Lovely!

Oh my, your daughter is sooo talented! Takes after her momma. :-) Love, love your blog.

Wonderful talent, and such a charming treat for us to see all the details... I would love to play with that lovely set... finally, a home I might be able to manage!

So detailed and inspiring...there should be a storybook to go along with those pictures!Susan

Such detail! Wow! And very cute!

I'm constantly amazed at the minatures that are put together by Grace. What an amazing talent!

Happy happy!

OH MY GOODNESS. I want to live there! She is so talented!

So incredibly perfect. Ahhh. Makes me wanna do it too. Oh yes it does!

When your mouth waters looking at those sweet desserts...well, ya know it's good. :) I think I just found what to buy my mil (she has a dollhouse & loves chocolate). I'm also gonna go buy the dollhouse for my girls...gosh, I hope I can build it. I remember "don't panic" you wrote. I also hope they don't destroy it after I build it.

Grace is certainly as talented as her mom. You guys continue to inspire many! Congrats on the new digs....very nice.

It makes me want to get out my old doll house stuff. I was waiting until my daughter was a little older.

It's been so long since I've visited, wow Grace is so incredibly talented (just like her mom)!
I don't think I'll be able to resist her charms for sale, especially the donut :)
I'm going to spend the day catching up on some blog reading.
Take Care

Thank you sooooooo much for the links! I bought black and white checked tile flooring and a display case like yours and GNOMES! I got two lazy gnomes from the display case site for my doll house yard. Thank you so much for the links! Fred was rolling his eyes at me! He promised to help me get the floor in when it arrives and then the roof!!! I love all the tiny stuff Grace does- you know that- the flowers are very sweet! She is Amazing.

A-Z Quiche

  • new year's "brunch cups"
I'm attempting to make a quiche for each letter of the alphabet. Since I often get requests for recipes, I'll be compiling everything here for easy reference. This album will also serve to keep me on track. Feel free to try out the recipes and cook along with me! The idea for this was initially blogged here: http://turkeyfeathers.typepad.com/turkey_feathers/2006/10/quiche_love.html
