Mixed Bag

100_3491_2
Here we have another big roomy tote bag, and just in time for a sweet little girlfriend who turned eight years old; the party was yesterday afternoon, so time was of the essence you see.  Which accounts for these less than stellar photos.  I can also blame the weather, because it's been a wee bit stormy and dark these past few days and I've been way too busy to rig up some decent lighting.  I'm happy with how this bag turned out though; especially the mix of patterns and colors.

Right now I am concentrating on getting my house back in order... prompted only after the sun came out briefly and shined a light on the crumbs, cobwebs and dusty corners, and reminded me that a little sprucing up is in order.  But if I wanted to I could always revert to plan B:
.
If your house is really a mess and a stranger comes to the door, greet them with, "who could have done this?  We have no enemies."           ~Phyllis Diller

I love the patterns you put together. Really fun.

I love that big tote bag! Do you have a pattern that you could share with us?

The bag is so sweet. I love plan B. That quote is priceless!

Fantastic colour combinations. You reminded me that I've forgotten to put a label in the bag I just made - damn.

How cute! I just love those fabrics together!!

Ew,is that a red metal ironing board i spy in the background? I would love to find one of those. Love the bag by the way .

LOVE THE PAISLEYS!

So, so cute and happy!

Absolutely fabulous!

I love the fabrics and colours. Almost as good as a sunny day!

Oh what a lovely bag! Great combination of colour and pattern. And that quote cracked me up - I think I might adopt it...

I received my garden theme apron and just love it! You provided a speedy shipping, had the item wrapped in soft lavendar tissue paper. (very nice touch) It fits great too.
I look forward to seeing your next aprons for sale.
Happy Hamburger Day!

love the colors and the patterns that you put together they look great.

Love the bag and love Phyllis's quote. I'll be using it ALL THE TIME.

Love your work, it inspires me! Happy New Year!

I have really enjoyed reading all your posts & looking at your photos! Such colorful creativity! So many great links too. I'm curious about the swaps you do, how do you find out about them - do you use swapbot at all? Thanks so much.
Smiles, DianeM :)

That quote is hilarious! I want to cross-stitch it or something and put it over my door!!! (And the tote is adorable, of course.)

Great bag (love the inside pocket) and great quote! I can never have people in the house unless they give advance warning - my daughter's toys are everywhere and so is my knitting, crocheting and sewing.

O Goodness... its been in the 70's and sunny here, I've spent so much time enjoying the outside that I'm putting off the intricate cobweb designs until it gets gloomy again!!
Great looking bag, and I loved the quote..I've considerd when my home looks like this posting a smiley fce with a line through it that says " we're not nice..Keep out" to keep visitors at bay~smile~

Cute bag - and thanks for the laugh! I must remember that line :)

Happy Organzing Your Home Day ladies.

I love this. Reminds me of my favorite FooFaLa scrapbook paper. So happy!!!

The bags you've been making are absolutely wonderful! I love the fabrics you've chosen for this one...so fun!

Oh, I love this bag. Very sweet.

This bag is so awesome -- just love the colors and the combo of the paisley,"polkies", and stripes. And the inside pocket is very cool. Can you share where you have your Turkey Feathers tags made? I've searched online sources and haven't seen any that I really like.
Thanks,
Anna

That bag is gorgeous! I'm going to wear out that quote!

I'm attempting to make a quiche for each letter of the alphabet. Since I often get requests for recipes, I'll be compiling everything here for easy reference. This album will also serve to keep me on track. Feel free to try out the recipes and cook along with me! The idea for this was initially blogged here: http://turkeyfeathers.typepad.com/turkey_feathers/2006/10/quiche_love.html
