Heartfelt Mary Janes

Maryjane1

Another little project from the wool blanket, stitched up just for the fun of it. Of coarse, now I need to make a doll to put them on. Inspiration for these came from a library copy of The Felt Book (ISBN: 0806908645--1994-oop) by Clare Beaton. See more of her talents here.

Oh Vicki, I'm so in love with these Mary Janes ! I'm impatient to see the doll you're going to make ;o) !! Cheers

Wow, great job, amazingly cute!

I love them! How cute! I have that book too and love it :) Glad you got a bit of a break from the rain, it's pouring down snow here today.

oh my goodness...i just checked and my library has this book. i think i'm going to get it this afternoon! those shoes are adorable.

Well now I know what I'm making for dinner tomorrrow!

So CUTE! and that soup, yummy!!! I'm going to check my library for the book too.

Those doll shoes are just lovely! I'd like to make a pair for a real baby. So cute. You sure do get some mileage from the wool blanket. Once it is all cut up and gone you should put everything you've made together and take a nice before and after photo!

I love those shoes!!

Oh yum! My husband (who is a fabulous cook) makes a wonderful cream of potato soup. Your soup sounds easy and wonderful. If I had leeks, I'd be making it today. But unfortunately (actually I am not all that disappointed) I am stuck at home due to 12 hours of freezing rain (my driveway is a skating rink and the school buses are all cancelled) so can't go to get the ingrediants for this. But I have filed it away and it's on my "to cook" list for sure!

those are adorable!

"I am in love!!!!", she gasps.

I want to make a pair for my daughter, are they hard to do?
And I love meals with leeks in them. I'll try this recipe tomorrow.

The shoes are precious and the soup sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe.

those are gorgeous! do you make those in my size?!?

these are my favorite! ♥

Love the shoes.....they are absolutely to die for...

Those little shoes are just about the sweetest things I ever seen in my life!

The cutest booties! Clare Beaton is one of my fave illustrators.

Oh you scrumptious woman! Could those shoes be any cuter?

the shoes are just adorable! i am loving checking in to see what is emerging from that blanket. such a great project.

A-Z Quiche

  • new year's "brunch cups"
I'm attempting to make a quiche for each letter of the alphabet. Since I often get requests for recipes, I'll be compiling everything here for easy reference. This album will also serve to keep me on track. Feel free to try out the recipes and cook along with me! The idea for this was initially blogged here: http://turkeyfeathers.typepad.com/turkey_feathers/2006/10/quiche_love.html
